Stuart, Florida Youth Pastor Sentenced For Distributing Child Porn

| May 26, 2016 | Other Church & Religious Organizations

Jeffrey Brian Mobley, a former youth pastor at The Grace Place in Stuart, Florida has plead guilty and been sentenced by a federal judge to forty-five years in prison for the production and distribution of child pornography.

According to the criminal complaint, in September 2015, a report was made to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office concerning Mobley and a girl who was under his trust and care through his role as a youth pastor at Grace Place in Stuart, Florida.  During the investigation, law enforcement learned that Mobley, 24-years old, allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with two girls (ages 14 and 16) in the church’s youth program.   Mobley also supplied the girls with alcohol and enticed the minors to have sexual intercourse with him and exchange sexually explicit images including the recordings of him having intercourse.

This is every parent’s worst nightmare. Youth activities at church should be a place where parents can trust that their children will be cared for and protected from harm.  We commend these brave children for coming forward and reporting Jeffrey Mobley to law enforcement.
