Ms. Megan Fecko (Teacher)
Diocese of Erie

Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Ms. Megan Fecko:

Ms. Megan Fecko was a former teacher in the Diocese of Erie. According to media reports, in 2004, she was sentenced to prison for 6 to 20 months in 2007 after she pleaded no contest to two counts of indecent assault against a female victim. Fecko was a 24-year-old English teacher in Villa Maria Academy in the Diocese of Erie when the abuse occurred.

The abuse began when the girl was 14 and Fecko was her teacher.  The abuse took place from 2002-2005. Although the victim said at Fecko’s sentencing that the relationship was consensual, the age of consent in Pennsylvania is 16 so the acts were illegal nonetheless, authorities said. The girl’s mother told the judge that Fecko played mind games with her daughter and deserved punishment. The mother said Fecko didn’t stop contacting her daughter until she complained to police.

Fecko moved to Cleveland, Ohio after her release from prison. She is not a registered sex offender.
