Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Francis D Bruno:

In 1994, Fr. Francis D Bruno was named in a civil lawsuit against the Diocese of Trenton which included 11 clerics, the parishes those clerics served, and a retreat house. According to media reports, the lawsuit claimed Bruno sexually assaulted a former altar boy of St. James parish between 1978 and 1981. The young boy was 12-years-old at the time the abuse began.

The alleged abuse took place in various locations: St. James parish, the Sacred Heart, and Stella Maris Retreat on Long Beach Island.

The Diocese of Trenton recently released a list of priests with credible accusations of child sexual abuse against them, naming Bruno. While it noted he was removed from ministry at some point, the list does not indicate what year he was removed from ministry.

Bruno is believed to be living in the Union City, New Jersey area.
