Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Robert Pudlo:
According to media reports, in October 2018, the Diocese of Erie announced that it received an allegation of sexual abuse involving Fr. Robert Pudlo. The Diocese did not release any details about the allegation, such as the age/gender of the victim, the nature of the misconduct alleged, or Pudlo’s assignment with the Diocese at the time of the alleged abuse.
In April 2019, the Diocese of Erie’s internal investigation reportedly revealed that Pudlo failed to act to stop child sexual abuse which was credibly reported to him.
Pudlo died in 1986.
