Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Robert Marotta:

Father Robert Marotta was ordained a priest in 1963 and served in the Archdiocese of Newark. He served in multiple parishes throughout his career. According to media reports, in February 2019, his name was included on its list of 63 priests "credibly accused" of child sex abuse. He was credibly accused of the sexual abuse of one child.  No additional details were disclosed, such as Father Marotta's assignment at the time of the abuse.  A man claiming to be the victim alleged in an interview that he was sexually abused by the priest at Immaculate Conception in Newark, Mount Carmel in Montclair and St. Rocco in North Bergen. Father Marotta died in 2012.
