Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Robert Voelkle:

In a release from the Jesuit order, Father Robert Voelkle was listed as a priest who had abused minors in the 1960s and 1970s. Records do not indicate that Voelkle admitted to the abuse, but do state that the claims were found credible after internal investigation by the Jesuits.

The list didn’t make clear where and when the abuse had occurred, however.  Voelkle was a teacher at McQuaid Jesuit school, a school within the Diocese of Rochester, during the majority of the 1960s.

The priest left the Jesuit order in 1985, but it is unclear whether he remained active in any type of ministry after he left the order.

Voelkle died in 2016.
