Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Santino Casimano:
Father Santino Casimano was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Gallup, who also served in the Diocese of Orange. According to media reports, in 2004, after being accused of sexual abuse occurring 26 years earlier, Father Casimano resigned from St. Bernard High School. In 2004, he was listed as Father Casamino, on the Diocese of Orange’s list of priests accused of sexual abuse and removed from ministry.
Father Casimano denied charges in a 2004 lawsuit that he sexually abused two brothers in a parish in the Diocese of Orange in the late 1970s. The Diocese of Orange paid the brothers $4.2 million in a 2005 settlement.
Father Casimano died in August 2005. In December 2018, his name appeared on the Diocese of Gallup’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors, as well as on the Diocese of Norwich’s list in February 2019.
