Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Michael L Barber:

Father Michael L Barber was ordained as a Jesuit priest. According to a December 2018 disclosure by the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus, in 1994, Barber admitted to sexually abusing a minor in Strathmere, NJ while he was assigned in the Diocese of Camden by “pleading guilty to a charge of “harassment by offensive touching.” He was removed from ministry and relocated to the Colombiere Jesuit Community in Baltimore.

In December of 2018, Barber’s name appeared on the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesuits list of Jesuits with credible allegations of sexual abuse of minors since 1950.

In February of 2019, his name also appeared publicly on the Archdiocese of Baltimore list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors.

According to the Jesuits, he is living in a restricted environment on a safety plan where his travel and use of technology are monitored.
