Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Victor Phelan:

Father Victor Phelan was ordained a priest of the African Foreign Missions, or “White Fathers” in 1971, and served in the Archdiocese of Newark. He served in multiple parishes throughout his career. His ministry took him from West Africa African countries of Burkina Faso and Ghana to the archdioceses of Chicago, Newark and Los Angeles. He was assigned for at least one year (1977) in Plainfield in the New Jersey.

According to media reports, in May 2013, a lawsuit in which Father Phelan was accused of child sexual abuse was settled. His whereabouts beyond 1992 are unknown.
