Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Father Brendan Riordan (Reardon):
Father Brendan Riordan (Reardon) was elevated to monsignor in late 1991 or early 1992 in the Diocese of Rockville Centre. He was a board member for Community Organization for Parents and Youth (COPAY), a Long Island nonprofit that counsels drug-addicted teens.
According to media reports, he was named with three other priests in a child molestation civil lawsuit that was settled in 1995. The alleged abuse occurred in the House of Affirmation, a controversial and now-closed, church-run treatment center for pedophile priests in Worcester, MA, where Monsignor Riordan was on the Board of Directors. He denied having any sexual involvement with the accuser. Riordan retired in 2015.
