Summary of Abuse Allegations against Brother Patrick (Douglas) Congdon:

Br. Patrick (Douglas) Congdon joined the Xaverians in 1943 and left in 1961. According to media reports, in 2008, child sexual abuse allegations were made against him relating to abuse that occurred in the late 1940s-early 1950s at a summer camp in NJ. At the time, he was assigned to St. Michael DHS in Brooklyn, New York. 

In July 2019, Congdon’s name appeared publicly on the Xaverian Brothers’ list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors. His current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
