Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Father John F. Eastman:

Father John F. Eastman served as a priest in the Diocese of Burlington in Vermont for approximately 7 years. He was suspended in August 1953 and sent to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. In 1955, he was transferred to the Diocese of Monterey. He appealed to be reinstated in Burlington but was denied in 1989. He is presumed dead.

According to media reports, in August 2019, his name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Burlington’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors.
