Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Joseph Schuck:

In addition to serving as a priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn, Fr. Joseph Schuck also provided religious services for Scouts and Scouting leaders in the Sidney and Unadilla areas. According to media reports, in 2003, he was placed on leave after he was accused of sexually abusing a minor while serving at St. Francis of Assisi in Long Island City, in the late 1950s. After a preliminary investigation, the allegations were deemed credible and he was removed from ministry that year.

In February 2019, his name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Brooklyn’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors.

Schuck retired in 2000 and died in April 2014.
