A church Deacon in the Diocese of Sacramento, Jesus Magallanes, worked in Anderson, California from 1995 to 1996. One of the shortest tenures known, Magallanes was accused of fondling, masturbation, and rape on two girls under 14 years old from 1975 to 1980, before working in Anderson. The abuse was reported in 1995 to the Diocese of Sacramento, and Deacon Magallanes was removed from the ministry the following year, in 1996.
Magallanes is included on the Diocese of Sacramento list of priests credibly accused of child sexual abuse.
