Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Charles Plock:
Fr. Charles Plock was ordained a priest of the Congregation of the Mission. According to media reports, in October 2008, he was arrested after emailing a homemade, sexually explicit video to an undercover police officer posing as a 13-year-old boy in Colorado. At the time, he was a chaplain and youth minister at St. John’s University in Queens, New York. He was also a board member at Covenant House, a nonprofit that shelters runaway teens, prior to his arrest.
Plock was released on bond and immediately sent to St. John Vianney Center in Downingtown, PA, a psychiatric facility for the clergy known for treating those accused of child sexual abuse. Criminal charges were filed, and he pleaded guilty to disseminating indecent materials to minors. He was sentenced to 5 years probation in December 2009 and is a registered sex offender. As of February 2019, it is believed he was living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
