Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Jerome Ducote:
Father Jerome Ducote was a priest and a member of the Order of Saint Benedict; also known as the Benedictines. Ducote was first named publicly as accused of sexual misconduct with a minor on the New Orleans Archdiocese’s list that was released on November 12th, 2018. The allegation against Jerome Ducote was received in 2002 of abuse that allegedly occurred in the early 1960’s. Although no official assignment list has been made public knowledge, it is reported that Jerome Ducote worked at St. Joseph Abbey Seminary College in Louisiana.
This is the only known allegation made against Jerome Ducote.
Jerome Ducote died in 2006.
In April of 2020, the Archdiocese of New Orleans filed for bankruptcy protection.
