Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Luis Martinez:

According to media reports, two civil suits were filed in New Mexico against Fr. Luis Martinez in 1994, alleging sexual abuse of female minors having occurred between 1964-1970 at Holy Cross Parish in Santa Cruz, California. At least one suit (maybe both) was settled by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and Sons of the Holy Family in 1995.

Martinez was included on the Archdiocese of Santa Fe list of credibly accused in 2017. He was also included on the Diocese of Sacramento list of priests credibly accused of child sexual abuse. Martinez allegedly left the priesthood, but no information has been released on laicization or what he is presently doing.
