Br. Noel Smith was a member of the Congregation of the Religious Brothers of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis. He spent his career as an educator teaching high school and undergraduate college classes. According to media reports, in 2019, he was accused of sexually abusing a minor from 1967 to 1969 while assigned to St. Anthony’s High School in Smithtown, New York.
