Summary of Abuse Allegations against Brother Robert B McGovern:

Br. Robert B McGovern entered the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1962 and pronounced his final vows in 1969. He served as Superior at All Hallows in the Bronx, New York, and as Director of Pastoral Care at St. Joseph’s Residence in New Rochelle, New York.

According to media reports, in 2005, he was named in an unrelated civil lawsuit alleging child sexual abuse of a teenage boy in New Jersey sometime after 1975. The plaintiff’s appeal was dismissed by the New York Supreme Court in October 2009.

McGovern died in Chicago in 2016.
