Br. Salvatore Ferro, C.F.C, was a member of the Congregation of Christian Brothers. In 2019, Ferro was named by the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers as accused by at least two persons in claims settled in the bankruptcy proceedings.

According to media reports, the sexual abuse allegedly occurred while Ferro was a teacher and school administrator assigned to Iona Prep High School and Msgr. Farrell High School in New York in the 1970s. One of the victims was 16 years old at the time of the abuse and the other victim’s age is unknown. Further details about the abuse have not been released.
