Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Edward J O’Brien:

According to media reports, in December 2018, Fr. Edward J O’Brien was named on the Jesuits Midwest Province list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. In April 2019, his name appeared on the Archdiocese of New York’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor.

Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or O’Brien’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown. Claims against him are eligible to be settled through the Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program (IRCP). O’Brien died in 2002.
