Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Seminarian Amado Pena:

Amado Pena was a seminarian candidate for the Piarist religious order who left the ministry before being ordained to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, in 2003, he was criminally charged with molesting two 14-year-old boys between 1980 and 1982. In 2003, Pena was arrested in Massachusetts on an outstanding warrant for molesting a 12-year-old boy in 1987.

Pena was named in a civil lawsuit that alleged that he sexually abused two minors from 1980 to 1981 at Santa Teresita Catholic Church in Los Angeles. He was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ 2004 list of clergy accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.

Pena died in 2006.
