Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Alfred Monte:

Fr. Alfred Monte was ordained an Augustinian priest in 1940, who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, he was named and accused in a civil lawsuit of sexually abusing a minor in 1947. The details of the sexual abuse allegations, including where the alleged abuse occurred, or the victim’s age/gender, are unknown. Fr. Monte died in 1996. His status as a priest, whereabouts, and whether he had access to children from 1955 until his death in 1996 is unknown. Fr. Monte was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
