Fr. Patrick Joseph McHugh was ordained a priest in 1950, who served in served in many parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He was the pastor emeritus of Nativity Catholic Church having served as pastor from 1972 to 1998. According to media reports, he was accused of child sexual abuse from 1972 to 1974. The details of the sexual abuse allegations, including where the alleged abuse occurred, or the victim’s age/gender, are unknown.

Fr. McHugh was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ 2004 list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.

He died in 2011 at the age of 89.
