Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Brother Adrian Furman:
Brother Adrian Furman was a member of the Franciscan Friars who served in multiple parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He died in 2003. According to media reports, he was accused of sexually abusing children from 1959 to 1965. The incidents were reported in 2002 and 2010.
In May 2019, his was one of nine names that had never before been reported and appeared on the St. Barbara Province's list of credibly accused Franciscan Friars. The details of the allegations, including where the abuse occurred, are unknown. It also was included on the Diocese of Oakland's list.
