Summary of Abuse Allegations against Brother John Verhart:

Brother John Verhart was ordained a priest of the Salesian religious order, who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, he has been named in two civil lawsuits alleging child sex abuse that occurred in approximately 1957 to 1958 at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower. Details of the allegation, including the number of alleged victims or their gender are unknown.

Brother Verhart’s name appeared on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ 2004 list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. His current whereabouts are unknown.
