Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Wilfred Weitz:

Father Wilfred Weitz was ordained a Benedictine priest in 1936, who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, he was named in a civil lawsuit alleging he sexually abused a child from 1959 to 1961. He may have also abused children at Camp Junipero Serra in Los Angeles and at the Claretian Seminary in Calabasas.

Father Wilfred Weitz name appeared on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Final Addendum Report of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors posted on its website. It lists 49 “names of clergy from a follow up review of Archdiocesan files, and names of clergy involved in Clergy I litigation which were not previously posted.”

He died in 1991.
