Summary of Abuse Allegations against Brother Dennis Duffy:

Br. Dennis Duffy is a member of the Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Barbara. According to media reports, he was accused of sexually abusing a minor in 1975 while serving at St. Francis in Whiteriver, Arizona. His name was included in the Franciscan Friars Province of Santa Barbara’s “List of Franciscan Friars from the St. Barbara Province with Credible Claims of Sexual Abuse of a Minor” in the section, “Credibly Accused Friars Still Living”. It noted child sexual abuse allegations in 1975 were reported in 1990.

Duffy was removed from ministry in 1990 with a safety plan, though he continued to work within different Dioceses following the credible child sexual abuse allegations. In 2019, his name was also listed on the Diocese of Gallup and the Diocese of Oakland’s lists of Credibly Accused Clergy of Child Sexual Abuse.

According to the Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Barbara, Duffy currently lives in California.
