Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Joseph Huck:

Fr. Joseph Huck was ordained in 1969.

In 2003, Huck was accused in a suit filed of sexually abusing a 12-14-year-old boy in the mid-1970s. Huck’s accuser was a resident of Boystown, a group home for troubled boys, west of Miami, Florida. According to media reports, the accuser said he was sexually abused by Huck on a fishing trip, in a gym, and at other locations.

Huck allegedly threatened the boy to keep him quiet and the boy is said to have told his house parent and the director and ended up being punished. The accuser said he also told the Archbishop, who told him not to say such things about a priest. According to the plaintiff’s attorney, the abuse continued even after he reported it to church officials.

Very little is known of Huck’s activities within the church as the Archdiocese of Miami has not released all of the information about Huck’s assignment history.

Huck retired in 2002 and the claims were settled in 2004.
