Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father L. Yates Harris:

Fr. L. Yates Harris was ordained in the Archdiocese of Miami in 1977.

In 2003, Harris was accused in a lawsuit of sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy, 20 years prior. In 1982, Harris got the minor drunk and performed a sexual act on the boy. At the time, Harris was working as a high school counselor and chaplain at the time at St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The alleged victim said the counseling office at the school was lined with pictures Harris had taken of shirtless male students. All of the photos had inappropriate hand-written notes on the back of them.

Harris died in 1996.
