Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Kevin McCarthy:

Fr. Kevin McCarthy became an ordained priest in 1948 for the Diocese of St. John, Newfoundland, Canada. He arrived in Los Angeles, California, in the early 1960s, assigned to a Pico Rivera Parish and finally worked in the Diocese of Little Rock in Arkansas.

In 1964, McCarthy went on sick leave in late 1964 and was then reassigned as a hospital chaplain in Inglewood, California. McCarthy also worked next in Fresno, which was established as a diocese in 1967, from Los Angeles, California.

From 1971-1992, McCarthy was assigned to the Diocese of Little Rock. He was named publicly as accused by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles list in 2013. He was also named publicly on the Diocese of Little Rock's list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse in 2019. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, McCarthy's assignments at the time of the alleged abuse, or when the abuse took place is unknown.

Fr. McCarthy died in 1992.
