Fr. Steven Parks served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Lafayette. According to media reports, in 2003, he was accused in a lawsuit of child sexual abuse that occurred between 1966-1971. The alleged abuse began in 1966 when the boy was a 10-year-old student at St. Peter Claver elementary school in Opelousas, LA. The suit alleged that the abuse repeatedly occurred at the school. The case was settled in 2006, and no criminal charges were found. Fr. Parks’ current whereabouts of are unknown.
