Fr. Steven Parks served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Lafayette. According to media reports, in 2003, he was accused in a lawsuit of child sexual abuse that occurred between 1966-1971. The alleged abuse began in 1966 when the boy was a 10-year-old student at St. Peter Claver elementary school in Opelousas, LA. The suit alleged that the abuse repeatedly occurred at the school.
