Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Donatus Walsh:

Fr. Donatus Walsh entered the novitiate at St. Bonaventure Friary in 1927. He was ordained a priest in 1934. During his 53 years as a priest, he served in several parishes in New Jersey in the Archdiocese of Newark. According to media reports, for the first time in 2021, the Holy Name Province published a list of Franciscan friars with substantiated child sexual abuse and misconduct claims following a review of its files by an advisory firm. The Franciscan Friars Holy Name Province publicly named Fr. Donatus Walsh on its list. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims and the nature of the alleged sexual abuse was not provided by the Franciscan Province.

Fr. Donatus Walsh died in 1988.
