After his initial arrest in 2020, Brevard massage therapist Thomas Grasso entered a plea on October 25, 2022, for his seven charges of sexually battering multiple women. Grasso, age 59, was sentenced to 26 months in prison but was given credit for already serving 692 days, leaving only about three months left on his sentence. He was also ordered to have no contact with any of the victims. Before the plea, Grasso surrendered his state license to perform massage therapy in Florida following a restriction, then a Final Order. Grasso had been a licensed massage therapist in Florida since 1993.

In December 2020, Grasso was charged with two counts of Sexual Battery, two counts of Battery, two Counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of an Elderly Person, and one count of Aggravated Battery on a Pregnant Woman. He was arrested during a traffic stop and booked into the Brevard County Jail with a bond set at $96,000. The arrest came after the Titusville police received multiple reports of 19 women claiming Grasso sexually abused them while working at Daly Chiropractic & Wellness in Titusville. Investigators stated that the first victim came forward in October 2020 after Grasso performed a massage, then 18 more women came forward. During the initial battery investigation, detectives found sufficient evidence that Grasso committed the crimes.

In March 2022, Horowitz Law filed a lawsuit against Daly Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Titusville in Brevard County based on Grasso’s charges. The lawsuit alleged that Daly Chiropractic continued to refer patients to Thomas Grasso for massage services despite the previous reports that Thomas Grasso was sexually inappropriate toward female clients.

When clients book a massage, it is to decompress from the stresses of life. They trust that the massage therapists employed at the spa will act professionally and expect they are carefully vetted and safe to engage with the public. It is unacceptable, unprofessional, immoral, and unlawful for any employee to touch a client in a sexual manner.

Horowitz Law has filed numerous sexual assault lawsuits against massage therapists on behalf of clients who were inappropriately touched at various massage salons and spas.
