Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Fr. Henry O’Toole:

Fr. Henry O’Toole was one of the 156 priests identified by the Maryland Attorney General as having been accused of sexually abusing minors during their tenure with the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

According to the Attorney General’s report, in 1992, a woman reported having been sexually abused by Fr. O’Toole in the early 1970s when she was approximately 12 years old. The victim began working at the rectory at Our Lady of Fatima in East Baltimore when she was in 8th grade. Fr. O’Toole began complimenting the victim and working to be alone with her. When the other priests were not in the rectory, Fr. O’Toole sexually abused the victim. Fr. O’Toole’s sexual abuse of the victim occurred on many occasions during her time working in the rectory.

Fr. O’Toole was removed from a parish setting, relieved of his faculties, and retired.

Fr. O’Toole’s name appears on the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s list of priests credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor.

According to the report, Fr. O’Toole died in 2003.
