Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Fr. Thomas Glasgow:
In November of 2018, a list was released by Archbishop Gregory Aymond that named 57 clergymen in the New Orleans area who the church says were credibly accused of sexually abusing minors.
One name that appeared on the list for the first time was Father Thomas Glasgow. According to the list, Thomas Glasgow was accused of abuse in 2007 and removed from ministry in 2008. The list also states that the alleged abuse occurred in the late 1970's. No further information has been released including the number of victims who have come forward, or their age/gender.
In April of 2020, the Archdiocese of New Orleans filed for bankruptcy protection. As part of its bankruptcy, the Archdiocese of New Orleans will be reviewing and paying claims for anyone sexually abused by diocesan priests and lay employees. This will likely include claims filed on behalf of anyone whose case may be beyond the statute of limitations.
Thomas Gaspard Glasgow has been listed as still living; his current whereabouts since being removed are unknown.
