I want to express my deep gratitude for Adam Horowitz and Horowitz Law. The firm handled my case with sensitivity and a high level of expertise in the area of sexual abuse claims. The interviews were performed with a combined sense of purpose and awareness of my sensitivity to reawakening my wound. My case had the unusual addition of my not being part of the original filing of the suit. Adam took action on my behalf and was successful in having my name included in the claim. I was frequently provided status updates and the firm was always available for questions. I was also provided with what would be reasonable settlement for my particular situation. I have made a lot of mistakes in my life however one mistake I did not make was trusting the law firm of Horowitz law. In fact it was one of the best choices I ever made. I was abused as a child and from the very first contact I had with Adam Horowitz and his staff I felt how much they cared about me as a person; not a client, a true person. The understanding, professionalism and empathy I received allowed me to open doors that I had closed off to the world. I had found someone that I could finally trust. Yes it was a process as the memories and the pain still existed within me. The level of caring and understanding which Adam and his staff gave me was a shock to my system. Yes there were many tears recalling the abuse but I finally felt that there was someone in my corner. It wasn't just my fight any longer. Through an extended period of time Adam was always there for my questions and always found the answers I needed. This is not your normal law firm that treats you as a client. Horowitz law is a caring family that is ready and well prepared to fight for you and with you. I understand totally how difficult it is to find your voice but I can promise you that once you have this family in your corner that your voice will be heard and the results will make you smile. DeeDee Scheller was AMAZING! She was always there for me for both the criminal and civil suite. I was a complete mess there were so many times I never thought I would make it through this. She was always encouraging and even allowed me to have her cell number to call when I needed. She went above and beyond to make me feel like I was prepared for everything and was extremely compassionate. I’m so grateful I had her as an advocate as well as the whole team of lawyers, paralegals and secretaries.

Adam and his firm have been helpful to bring justice. So much more can be done but their firm did the the best they could do under the bankruptcy that apparently no one can go above the Catholic religion. Their firm did the best that they could do. There should be more legislation and foundations to help with future abuses. I’ve held this in most of my life and parents, siblings, surrounding people should be able to recognize how bad it is no matter what religion it is. Thank you Adam and your firm for fighting for us.
