Summary of Abuse Allegations against Monsignor William T White:

Msgr. William T White was a priest of the Archdiocese of New York, ordained in 1958. He spent most of his career as an educator. For ten years he served at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York as a counselor and dean of students. He served one year with the Archdiocesan Department of Education, then six years as principal of Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx. From there, he spent twelve years as pastor of Holy Family in New Rochelle.

According to media reports, in 1997, he was accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old male student for three years in the 1970s, while he worked at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York. He admitted to the abuse and the student received a settlement of $100,000 in 1998.

At the time of the allegations, he was working as a teacher at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL. He was allowed to continue working after being evaluated but resigned in 2002 when the school's president learned he was the subject of an alleged sexual abuse case the Archdiocese of New York had settled.

In February 2004, White was named in a civil lawsuit alleging he had sexually abused a 9-year-old boy for two years from 1959 to 1961 at Holy Cross in New York City. He was laicized that year.

In April 2019, his name appeared on the Archdiocese of New York's list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. Claims against him are eligible to be settled through the Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program (IRCP). In August 2019, he was named in another lawsuit filed under the New York Child Victims Act alleging sexual abuse of an 11-year-old boy in Rye, NY from 1972 to 1973.

White's current whereabouts are unknown.
