Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Michael Campbell:

Fr. Michael Campbell was ordained a priest in Ireland in 1921 and came to the US that same year. He was named assistant pastor of the Church of the Nativity in Buffalo, New York, from 1921-1923 and later was an assistant at St. John, Lockport. In 1930, he was appointed pastor of St. Anthony in Lockport, remaining there until 1947 when he was made pastor of St. Peter, Lewiston. Ten years later, he was made pastor of Our Lady of the Angels, Olean, where he served for 13 years until he died of a massive cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 74.

According to media reports, in 2020, Fr. Campbell was named in a lawsuit filed under the NY Child Victims Act against the Diocese of Buffalo in which he was accused of child sexual abuse occurring almost a century ago. The details of the allegations, including when and where the alleged abuse occurred, or the victim's age/gender, are unknown.
