Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Deacon James Lockwood:

Dn. James Lockwood was ordained a priest in 1974, and served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Baton Rouge. According to media reports, in 1978, he was arrested on charges of "committing a crime against nature and contributing to the delinquency of a minor." His alleged victims were 11 and 12 years old and had been living at Waldo Burton Memorial Boys Home in New Orleans where Lockwood was a counselor. James Lockwood also worked as a lay teacher for five months at St. Aloysius School in Baton Rouge, LA.

According to media reports, in November 2018, the Archdiocese of New Orleans publicly named James Lockwood on its report of New Orleans clergy who "are alive and have been accused of sexually abusing a minor which led to their removal from ministry." In March 2019, the Diocese of Baton Rouge, included Dn. Lockwood on its list of accused clergy publicly identified by other dioceses.

The whereabouts of Dn. Lockwood are unknown.
