On March 16, 2025, the Florida Board of Massage Therapy issued a Final Order permanently revoking the massage therapy license of Deltona, Florida. Andres Biasone previously had his license to practice restricted by the Florida Department of Health in Emergency Order after a complaint was filed against Biasone accusing him of sexual assault on a client while he was working at Massage Envy in Volusia County. Biasone had been a licensed massage therapist in Florida since 2021. According to Biasone’s LinkedIn page, he was also a self-employed massage therapist and Reiki master.
According to the Department of Health filings, a 55-year-old female client received multiple massages from Andres Biasone at Massage Envy on August 24, 2023, Sept. 20, 2023, October 24, 2023, and March 17, 2024. The Order states that Biasone requested the client’s phone number on a few occasions. On her last visit in March, her experience with Biasone took a turn. The woman claims she was face-down on the table, covered by a sheet, when Biasone began the massage. She then stated that Biasone moved his hands to the client’s inner thighs and groin area. Biasone then cupped his hand over the client’s vagina and digitally penetrated her, and rubbed her genitals. The woman froze and asked what he was doing, and Biasone stopped and replied, “It’s very difficult to know the lines of being friends or something else.”
Clients of massage therapists are placed in isolated, vulnerable settings where they can be subject to abuse by their massage therapists. Due to the potential for abuse that is inherent under these circumstances, massage therapists must possess good judgment and good moral character in order to practice massage therapy safely. Biasone willfully abused his position as a massage therapist to sexually violate a patient. Biasone abused his power and lacked good moral judgment to practice massage safely on female clients.
