Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Joseph Wilson:
Father Joseph Wilson a/k/a Brother Raphael Wilson, was ordained a priest in 1994, who served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Scranton. According to media reports, in Wilson was ordained in 1994 at the age of 69 years old. He had previously been a professed member/brother of the Order of the Holy Cross Province. During that period, he was known as “Brother Raphael.” He spent more than a decade working at the University of Portland, first as a professor, and, eventually, the President of the University.
In July 2002, the Diocese of Scranton received information that Wilson was accused of sexually abusing two boys during his tenure as a Holy Cross Brother.
