Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Lawrence Weniger:

Father Lawrence Weniger was ordained a priest in 1934, who served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Scranton. According to media reports, in February 2002, the Diocese of Scranton received a report from an adult man who alleged he was sexually abused by  in the 1960s while he served as an altar boy.

In June 2002, a second man reported he was abused by Weniger during the same time period (1960s).

In late 2011, Catholic Social Services informed the Chancery that an adult male reported he was molested by Weniger in the 1960s as a child.  The man was receiving counseling through CSS and disclosed it to his therapist in a session.

In 2018, he was named publicly as accused in the PA Grand Jury report.

Weniger died in 1972. He was still a priest in good standing at the time, and held a position as a diocesan consultor.
