Fr. Patrick D’Alessandro was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Harrisburg at the age of 57. While this is not in itself indicative of a history of abusing children, it is certainly highly unusual. D’Alessandro was not identified or discussed in the August 2018 grand jury report. His name appeared on the Diocese of Harrisburg’s list of accused priests, released the same month. Unfortunately, there is little publicly available information about the allegation(s) against D’Alessandro. According to the Diocese of Harrisburg, was accused of abuse after his death in 1996. The gender of the alleged victim(s) is not known, nor the dates or context of the allegation.
D’Alessandro died a priest in good standing of the Diocese of Harrisburg. He is buried in a Diocese of Harrisburg cemetery.
