Summary of Allegations Against Father Jason Dolan:
Father Jason Dolan was ordained a priest of the Byzantine Catholic Archeparchy of Pittsburgh in 1998, who served in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. According to media reports, in June 2005, he was named in a one-count indictment with criminal charges that stemmed from "illegal materials on a personal computer obtained through the use of a private Internet account." He pleaded guilty to possession of internet child pornography at the age of 31.
The Byzantine Catholic Archeparchy of Pittsburgh revoked his duties as pastor. Both the FBI and the Pennsylvania State Police were involved in Father Dolan's case. He could have spent 10 years in prison and been fined $250,000, but he was sentenced to only 30 months and lifetime probation in 2006.
In 2008, Dolan was released on probation. He is believed to be residing in the Fredonia, Pennsylvania, area. He is a registered sex offender.
