Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Joseph Reschick:

Father Joseph Reschick was ordained a priest in 1977, who served as pastor of St. Rosalia in Greenfield for 28 years in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. According to media reports, in October  2018, he was placed on administrative leave following an allegation of child sexual abuse in the 1980s. It was reported to the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. Father Reschick denied the allegation.

“This is the first allegation of child sexual abuse that the diocese has received against Father Reschick,” the diocese said in a statement.

In November 2019, the Diocese quietly announced its internal review board investigation determined that the sexual abuse allegation was determined to be credible. Father Reschick will not be returned to ministry, according to the Diocese.
