Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Mr. David Yarros:

Mr. David Yarros was a teacher at Sacred Heart High School in Carbondale, PA in the Diocese of Scranton. According to media reports, David Yarros was arrested in May 2005 and charged with corruption of minors and harassment, both misdemeanors, after he was discovered having “lewd conversations” with a student. Yarros soon accepted a plea deal that allowed him to plead guilty to the lower-level harassment charge and receive a six-month suspended sentence. The corruption charge was dropped.

There are no public allegations that Yarros engaged in any type improper physical contact with a minor child. According to the Diocese of Scranton, Yarros is still alive and residing in the Scranton area.  He is 50 years old.  He is not a registered sex offender and he is not monitored by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in any way (e.g., parole, probation).
