Deacon Dann Rossi was ordained in 1982 and served in the Diocese of Metuchen. According to media reports, in February, 2019, New Jersey Leaders of the Catholic Church revealed the names of 186 members to help victims heal as more revelations of child sexual abuse came to light. Nearly all of them were either sanctioned by the church, charged with a crime, or both.
The lists were provided by each New Jersey archdiocese – Metuchen, Newark, Trenton, Camden and Paterson. The Diocese of Metuchen’s list included the name of Deacon Rossi. It noted that he was the subject of one allegation while serving at St. Luke’s in North Plainfield, New Jersey. The age and gender of the victim, nor the nature of the misconduct, were not divulged.
According to the Diocese of Metuchen, Rossi is deceased.
