Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Sister Clare Pisaneschi:

According to media reports, in Sister Pisaneschi, a Religious Teachers Filippini sister, taught in the the Diocese of Scranton for a number of years in the 1960s, but was then stationed elsewhere. She returned in 1980 and taught until 1983 at Dunmore Central Catholic High School. In 1998, she returned again and taught at Dunmore Central Catholic, Bishop O’Hara, and Holy Cross high schools until she retired in 2012.

She was pastoral minister and Director of Religious Education at Mount Carmel Parish, Pittston, and principal at St. Anthony, Belleville, New Jersey. She was elected Regional Coordinator of Religious Education for the Pittston area, and briefly served on the Bishop’s Council for Religious.

No information is currently available about the accusations against her.

Pisaneschi died in 2014 in Morristown, New Jersey.
