Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Ladislaus Guzielek:
In 2018, Fr. Ladislaus Guzielek was included on the Diocese of Albany list of priests who were named as being “credibly accused” of child sex abuse. Little is known of Guzielek’s activities within the church as the Diocese of Albany has not released information about the nature of the alleged sexual abuse.
According to the plaintiff, “at certain times, Guzielek’s sexual abuse of the victim occurred during activities that were sponsored by or were a direct result of activities sponsored by, the Diocese and St. Adalbert’s, including when the victim was serving as an altar boy and worked at the parish – ringing the morning bells”.
It is noted that Fr. Ladislaus Guzielek abused a boy ages 11-16 during 1954-1959. Guzielek died in February 1965.
